Moong Dal Sprout Parantha

Ingredients

  1. Moong dal Sprouts - 1/4 cup.
  2. Wheat Flour - 1 1/2 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chilli - 1/4 tsp.(optional)
  5. Oil - 2-3 tsp.

Method

  1. Mix Moong dal sprouts in a little water and make a paste in the grinder.
  2. Take wheat from in a pan. Add moong dal paste. Knead the flour.
    Consistency of the flour should be good enough to make the parantha.
  3. Add the spices while kneading the flour.
  4. Let the dough rest for about 15 mins.
  5. Roll out thin paranthas and fry in minimum possible oil. (just to coat a thin film).
  6. Serve with curd and vegetable of your own choice.
 

Bhelpuri with Moong Dal sprout

Ingredients

  1. Moong dal sprout - 1/2 cup
  2. Puffed Rice - 2 cup
  3. Aloo bhujia - 1/4 cup
  4. Onion chopped - 2 tbsp.
  5. Lemon a squeezed to taste.
  6. Khatti chutney - 1 tbsp.
  7. Salt to taste.
  8. Meethi soanth
  9. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp.

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and serve garnished with coriander leaves.

Khichri

Ingredients

  1. Moong dal - 1 cup
  2. Rice (Good quality) - 1 cup
  3. Salt to taste.
  4. Asafoetide (Hing) - a pinch
  5. Zeera - 1 tsp.
  6. Butter
  7. Clearified - 1 tbsp.

Method

  1. Wash moong dal and rice together.
  2. Keep aside soaked in water.
  3. Heat clearified butter. Put hing and zeera. Let the zeera splutter.
  4. Add washed rice and dal. Put 6 cups of water and salt to taste. Let it cook till it is done.
  5. Serve hot with required compliments.
 

Meethi Soanth

Ingredients

  1. Dry raw mango powder - 1 tsp.
  2. Sugar - 5 tsp.
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chilli powder - a pinch
  5. Black Salt - a pinch
  6. Roasted zeera powder - a bigpinch
  7. Water - 2 tbsp

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients. Boil the mixture. Keep stirring constantly. Serve.

Instant Dhokla

Ingredients

  1. Semolina - 1/2 cup.
  2. Chick pea flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Salt - 1 tsp.
  4. Eno fruit salt - 1 tsp.
  5. Ginger - 1/2 piece
  6. Green chilli - 2
  7. Curd - 1 1/2-2cups

Method

  1. Dry roast semolina till its raw flavour goes away. It should not become brown.
  2. Mix in the chick pea flour. Let the mixture cool.
  3. Grind ginger and green chillis into a fine paste.
  4. Mix it in semolina.
  5. Add curd and make a smooth paste. Add salt.
  6. Greeze the pan in a dhokla maker or an idli maker.
  7. Add eno fruit salt in the mixture and quickly pour the mixture in the pan and steam for about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Check it with the knife. It should come out clean when pierced into it.
  9. Serve hot.
 

Khatti Chutney

Ingredients

  1. Coriander leaves chopped - 1 cup
  2. Green chilli - 2-3 optional
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
  5. Ginger - 1/2 piece
  6. Zeera - 1 tsp.
  7. Water - 1 tbsp.

Method

  1. Grind all the things together and adjust the taste. serve.

Cheella

Ingredients

  1. Rice - 1 tbsp.
  2. Moong dal - 1 tbsp.
  3. Channa dal - 1 tbsp.
  4. Arhar dal - 1 tbsp.
  5. Urad dal - 1 tbsp.
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Green chilli chopped - 1 tsp.
  8. Ghee - 4 tbsp.
 

 

Method

  • Wash and soak all the dals and rice together for 5-6 hrs. Grind them into a coarse paste. Add a little water.
  • Heat a pan. Greeze it. Spread the mixture into a thinnest layer possible in a pan.
  • Sprinkle a little ghee. Turn the side of cheela. Sprinklemore ghee. Let it cook till light brown.
  • Serve with sauce or chutney of your own taste.
